I am incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be performing at one of this year’s Sing Out Loud Festival Showcases in beautiful St. Augustine, FL! Catch me live at Colonial Oaks Music Park on Friday, September 12 at 7:30 PM.
While I was in Charleston a few weeks ago for the Tin Roof show, I went on Ohm Radio (96.3 FM) to talk about a multitude of things: the show, the record I have now been working on for 5 years 😳, the Charleston creative community, and more.
Charleston, South Carolina, oh how I have missed you!
It feels incredibly surreal to say that it has been over 5 years since the last time I played Charleston, in February of 2020, for the release of The Mourner’s Manual. It was such an awesome night: amazing audience, great friends, new album out, hopes were high……and then COVID (womp womp)
"Dakota" is one of my all-time favorite songs by The Stereophonics. I can't imagine a more perfect song. So, during the Quarantine of 2020, I called up my buddies: Brendangerous (bass), Seanarchist (keys) and Trentin Quarantino (guitar) to see if they would be down to track a version of this amazing Stereophonics song. They, obviously, obliged.
Wasted is a song by William Prince that I first heard on NPR All Songs Considered and it grabbed me immediately. I began recording this version of the song in quarantine while still living in Charleston but finally finished in The Spring of 2022 on a balcony in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
One of my goals for 2022 is to finish some of the things I started while quarantined in 2020. Here is one such project: The Shitsville USA Sessions.
The Other Side of South Carolina featured “It’s Not Business, It’s Just Personal” on its most recent playlist. Check it out along with a host of other great, South Carolina-based bands!

Time for me to get off the sideline and into the game.
This Thursday night, April 16th, at 8 PM ET, I will be performing The Unusual Suspects’ 2005 debut EP: Phonograph (and maybe a few B-sides & covers as well) on StageIt.com
